The rationale for building a turkey gun off a slug platform isn’t hard to understand. The same features necessary to extract the utmost accuracy from shotgun slugs are also beneficial to guiding a mass of shot to a longbeard’s head and neck. Chambered in 12 gauge, the Model 212 Turkey requires the use of a larger receiver/action, which is also machined from steel. The Model 212 is available only with a right-hand action, but the 220 can be had with a right- or left-hand action.
